With blue no bruise!

This slogan can be read in the september edition of the Dutch magazine “Aardappelwereld” (Potatoworld).

Due to the growing tendencies of this summer we have to deal with high dry matter in the potatoes. Because of this these potatoes are extremely sensitive for getting bruised after falling too hard. The transport company with the blue trucks has taken action against this.

Butter has fitted as the only transport company all of her bulk trailers (310 pcs) with double falling protection devices, in order to minimize damage to the product, while loading it. These falling protection devices are mounted in a sloping way. The first one catches the potatoes in the upper part of the trailer, minimizing the falling distance towards the loading belt . The second falling protection device then catches the potatoes, minimizing thus the falling distance towards the bottom of the trailer.
